My Shure SE530s cable to one of the monitors had started to detach, which is a pretty common problem for these headphones. They were out of warranty so Shure wanted 250 dollars to replace them with new SE535s...not a bad deal, but I figured I'd give this route a shot. Elected to go with the Anthem CL recabling option, which was quoted at 85usd. Here's the rundown: The quality of the recabling is great, and the actual recabling service was as fast. We had to add a couple of dollars to the price tag because some parts were damaged or broken within the IEMs but it wasn't a huge deal. There are two things to keep in mind if you're looking to get this service done from the US though: 1) prepare to wait for your shipment to get there. I sent it via USPS First Class International, which was the only option that wasn't incredibly expensive, and it took nearly 6 weeks for it to arrive. I had essentially written it off because I didn't have tracking and figured it had gotten lost in transit. So it was a huge relief to hear that the VA guys eventually got it. Return shipping isn't bad at all, especially considering the price. The base option includes tracking and costs 6 dollars; it took just over 2 weeks to get to me so it's a great option. It's just the outbound that you need to be wary of.
Overall, the quality of the recabling is excellent and I'm happy with how they turned out, but it just took a while all in. I suggested that they start accepting bitcoin (which I personally have never actually used...) since it seems like this might be the perfect situation for it; if they do end up doing that then that would totally solve the payment hassle and cost.

Thanks for the great recabling job VA!
